Drum Thickeners
Drum thickeners are to be used from low consistency to medium consistency typically for small and medium capacities.
Working Principle
Stock is sent against a drum with a wire. Water goes through the wire while fibres are retained, forming a fibre mat recovered at the upper level of the drum.
Applications
- Limited tonnage lines
- Applications requiring a de-ashing effect
- Thickening before refining or storage at medium consistency
