The Helico Pulper is leader in the field of high consistency pulping with several hundred references for many different Applications. The rotor being a one-piece solid stainless steel casting, we managed to obtain the best hydraulic shape in order to ensure complete circulation of the stock at the highest possible consistency.
Working Principle
The High consistency pulper is always batch operated.
Raw material (virgin pulp or waste paper) and water are introduced together. The high consistency of the pulp allows a strong inter-fibre friction effect that brings the best-known defibering rate with a pulper. The highest possible consistency will bring the best results.
For de inking Applications, the strong friction effect enables very good ink detachment, which makes High consistency pulping a requirement in most cases.
The low speed of the turbine does not induce contaminant fractionation, which facilitates the removal of fragile contaminants.
